"Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate and Monitor" ...
New hope with a new approach for a forgotten cat population.

We are a group of volunteers who provide veterinary care and shelter to improve the lives of homeless and abandoned cats. Until PawsWatch, the life of a homeless cat found living in colonies in neighborhoods in R.I. had always been bleak – fighting the elements of nature, living and reproducing in starvation and squalor,
and facing poisoning or mass roundup for death.

New hope with a new approach called TNR is proving to be a better way to treat this once condemned population. PawsWatch is part of a large and growing grassroots effort to transform "street cats" into healthy managed colonies, which decline through attrition.

A cat over population crisis exists! An ever-increasing number of unwanted, stray, feral and abandoned cats are living marginal existences in back alleys, parking lots, around dumpsters, abandoned buildings and vacant lots. This is the first step in giving homeless cats better lives.

You too, can save a life. If you are interested in our work, we welcome you to join us by helping out as a volunteer. We always need extra hands to drive cats to vet appointments,to help build shelters, to feed and manage colonies, and to socialize half-wild kittens.
